Bespoke Country House Wedding Venue with Stunning Views

What an amazing venue, Shirna and Jess couldn't do more for us and nothing was too much. We knew on our first visit that this was the venue for us.
They helped us plan the day and gave us lists of recommended local suppliers (all who we used were brilliant) and things we needed to do at different times, to make sure we stayed on top of our wedding prep. For someone who had no idea about wedding logistics this was so helpful.
We met with the chef to discuss our meal options and came up with the most delicious wedding menu, so many compliments from our guests on how incredible the food was. We hired the whole hotel for the day with 70 guests for the day and 120 in the evening.
Our wedding was in March so we didn't expect glorious weather but we managed a confetti photo and some of just the two of us outside. We then had a few family photos in the library when the rain came.
It was lovely to get ready in the hotel the morning of the wedding (highly recommend this to brides), with a big enough room to have all my bridesmaids in with me.
The staff on the day were incredible and they made the day run so smoothly, we didn't need to worry about anything and could fully embrace our wedding day.
Without a doubt the right choice for our wedding and anyone considering the Horn of Plenty as a venue you won't regret it. Beautiful scenery, wonderful staff, great food and having the whole hotel to ourselves, we couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect wedding.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our intimate wedding at the Horn of Plenty - breathtaking views, incredible wedding planners, fantastic food. Our wedding was planned pretty speedily and Jess & Shirna provided brilliant support in the lead up to our big day, no question was too small and were so helpful, even providing a list of recommended local suppliers who had worked at the venue before (all incredible). We viewed another venue nearby before, but our tour with Jess was so detailed and was reassured that the venue would make our day super special, there was no contest. Our wedding day being in Feb 2024, did mean that rain was very much a part of the day. But in all honestly, the views are so spectacular it really wouldn’t have matter what the weather was and this really came through in our photos. There are so many great spots to get those special couple shots on the grounds. The rooms were all amazing and our guests were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat and without requesting they even made a table for us all to sit together before our guests began their travels home. The day itself ran so smoothly and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Would 100% recommend!

We do not live locally to the venue so were doing everything by phone/email etc. But Shirna and her team were always responsive to messages and we always felt that our wedding was in 'safe hands' . Nothing was too much trouble for us or our guests - everyone was taken care of, including two elderly family members with wheelchairs. Our guests were so impressed with our choice of venue, and as the weather was so lovely, it made it just perfect. The views are stunning and the sunset was so beautiful down the valley.

Absolutely stunning venue with great food. Everyone was incredibly friendly throughout the organisation and on the day. Nothing was too much and they were always happy to answer the many questions that come up in organising a wedding! We got to have a meeting with the chef to design our menu and then a meal and wine taster which was amazing!
On the day (and the day before and after) everything was sorted for us so we didn't have to worry about a thing - nothing was too much trouble. We had such an amazing day that we will never forget and look forward to visiting The Horn of Plenty again in the future!

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of! From the beginning the venue had been perfect with Mia and Shirna being detailed orientated and ensuring I had all of my questions answered within a timely manner. We were able to visit the venue a few times around the COVID lockdowns and this made the experience even better. The day before the wedding we had a hand over meeting that ensured all of the details for the wedding were set and that Mia and Shirna took over everything to ensure that we all details were handled by themselves and we didn't have to worry about anything.
We had around 30 people stay over the night before and had an informal meal with them to start the celebrations off early, this was a lovely way to start of the wedding weekend.
We had our ceremony for 70 guests outside on the lawn with the perfect view, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. With the weather being so good, everyone then sat under a big shady tree with their drinks.
In the evening it was nice to spread in the hotel and outside with the sun setting, it was perfect.
Mia and Shirna ensured the whole wedding was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend The Horn of Plenty to anyone looking for a wedding venue with a view, great wedding planners who ensure your every need and want is met, incredible food and lovely atmosphere.

We recently got married at the Horn of Plenty and had the most perfect day. A truly memorable and amazing venue. The whole team made us feel so welcome and nothing was an issue.
From the initial look around to the day itself the communication and attention to detail was excellent. Shirna and Mia were very accommodating with all aspects of our day, especially the last minute changes in the week leading up to the wedding.
The food was delicious and we had many compliments from our guests. We weren't limited to a 'set menu' like menu wedding venues. We were able to sit down with Ashley the head chef and design a bespoke menu based around our favourite foods which was a lovely personal touch.
The hotel rooms are lovely, all with individual character and very clean.
We will definitely be back to stay for our anniversary. Big thank you to the whole team at the Horn of Plenty for making our wedding so special.

Now that we have started to come back down to earth after a truly amazing weekend of celebrations, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you.
From the moment we visited, we were blown away by the Horn of Plenty and fell in love with your beautiful location the moment we entered the drive.
Despite Covid-19 causing numerous disruptions, restrictions and changes along the way, all of you have been utterly fantastic every step of the way and met our every need. The ceremony was beautiful and we are so thankful for your patience with the set up to ensure we were able to marry outside, just as we always wanted. Thank goodness the sun put his hat on in the end. It was so special.

When we initially started to plan our Wedding at this beautiful venue, back In January 2020, we could not have predicted what would happen 8 weeks later: COVID-19.
We had always intended a small intimate wedding with 13 family members and the Horn of Plenty was not only a beautiful venue with an excellent reputation for an intimate wedding, but more importantly it gave value for money.
The wedding team at the Horn of Plenty listened to what we wanted, gave us suggestions and more that we ever expected. Then the COVID pandemic took hold resulting in uncertainty, and for many couples having to cancel or rethink their large and extravagant wedding. For us with having a small wedding there was a small chance it may go ahead.
During this period of waiting , 'The Horn Of Plenty, kept us updated and reassured that in the invent of it not going ahead, they would work with us to find an alternative date.
Leading up to the 23rd of July,the team worked with us to find reasonable adjustments that would keep us and their staff safe but not compromising us from having the day that we had planned.
The day came and at no point did we feel that we were still in the middle of a pandemic or unsafe. The hotel went above and beyond to make it a special day. There is nothing that we can find fault with the day, the hotel , the grounds and the amazing staff.

We had our wedding there in October 2019 and from start to finish it was the most amazing experience. Shirna and the team went out of their way to help us with the planning and, with their wealth of experience, can help advise whilst still treating you as an individual and giving you freedom to make the day yours.
The whole team helped make it a really special occasion from beginning to end. The food is amazing and all our guests commented on how tasty it was, from the meal the evening before, to breakfast the next day to the wedding breakfast itself. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have imagined a better experience.
It is a wonderful place to be married and very good value for money. It is equally a fantastic hotel in which to stay and I would highly recommend their restaurant for any occasion. We have eaten there several times in the past but creating such delicious food for 50 to be served all at once is no mean feat. The chef is fantastic and we loved meeting him to design the menu.
