The Horn of Plenty wins Silver at the 2015 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence

The Horn of Plenty, located in the beautiful Tamar Valley just outside Tavistock, has won a Silver Award in the Small Hotel of the Year category at the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2015 Ceremony.

The Silver Award is one of the highest accolades for Excellence in Tourism in England. The awards took place at a glittering Ceremony held on 11 May 2015 at The Sage, Gateshead.

Commenting on the Award James Berresford, VisitEngland’s Chief Executive said ” We received hundreds of applications of an extremely high quality this year. Winning a Silver is therefore a considerable achievement and one of the highest accolades for excellence in tourism which VisitEngland can bestow. I warmly congratulate The Horn of Plenty”.

Speaking on behalf of The Horn of Plenty said “We are absolutely delighted. When we took over The Horn of Plenty as corporate escapees just 5 years ago, we couldn’t have dreamed of winning such a prestigious award. A huge big thanks to each and every member of our hardworking team.”

The award comes after the hotel won a Gold and two Silver awards in the Devon Tourism awards last November, and a Silver and two Bronze awards in the South West Tourism awards in February.
